This is definately one of the best thing that happen to me in my life. I only get to know them after they disbanded, and after Hide died. They are the reason why i picked up a guitar and develope my own music taste. To see them getting together again, on the stage it’s just..surreal..to say the least. The hide hologram is just sad, not the effect or anything, just sad. But then again, think about them jamming with a person who already left this world…..fucking awesome. U guys ROCKS~!

Peter Crouch – Heavily linked to lots of Clubs when Portsmouth and Villa seems to be leading the race. I personally like him, he works hard and to be fair, he did score quite a lot of goals considering the kind of playing times that he has been given. It’s just a shame that he can’t fit in the current Liverpool system and playing as a effective sub most of the time. I hope he will stay, but I think he will go, hopefully at a good price too.

Xavi Alonso – one of the best purchases done by Benitez? Why sell him? Is Gareth Barry really better than him? I highly doubt so. But I can understand if Benitez need him to do some swap deal with a world class player (Henry? Villa? Silva?). If the player coming in is not is the calibre of the players that I listed, then it will be a really bad move.

John Arne Riise – Had a really disappointing campaign. Shaky at defend and can’t score those screamer no more (except for own goal). Sell him!

Jermaine Pennant – After spending two years at Liverpool, he proves just one thing –“He is just not good enough for the top 4 team”. Sell him!

Steve Finland - No way. He has been the most consistent player, and still the best right back at Liverpool. We can’t sell him until finding a better replacement.

Harry Kewell - He was my favourite player in the EPL (when he was at Leeds) he has been given enough time but enough is enough. Get rid of him (Although deep in my heart, I still hope that he will stay and recapture he form he used to have when at Leeds)

Steven Gerrard – Hahaha..just kidding. He will never leave us~!YNWA.

David Villa – Can the Spanish connection works wonder for Benitez again this time? I really wish we can get him but let’s not get our hope too high. We can only afford him if the DIC come in during the summer

Thierry Henry - Now what kind of partnership will it be with Henry and Torres? If he’s part of deal to sell Alonso, then do it now. Liverpool can conquer the EPL with him. But then again, I said the same thing when Kewell was at Leeds. Sigh…

Alan Ramsey - What’s the deal with this guy? Man Utd and Chelsea both want him?? Then we should go for him too~!LOL…

Gareth Barry - Again, is he better than Alonso? The only good thing I can think of about him is he’s left footed and that he’s English. Seems like a done deal. I hope he will suprise me next season.

David Bentley – Go for him~! People has been talking about Jaoquin and Quaresma but in order to win the league next year. We need at least one established EPL winger and he has been one of the best this season.

David Silva – Holy shit get him please. Pull as much string a you have at Valencia and get him. We really need a world class winger (but get Bentley too)

Macini - another world class winger, get him if we cant get Silva.

Maxi Rodriguez - get him only if we can’t get Silva or Macini.

Jose Boswinga - Good player. But I think he will be heading to Man Utd thought. Damn u devils.

Antonio Valencia – Seriously, him? He is at the same level of Pennant. Maybe I’m wrong but I still dun like the sound of him. Bently and Silva, period.

Eric Abidal – Should be better than Riise and Aurelio, but I’m not really sure really how good he is. Why not Christian Bale? Wayne Bridge? Or Lahm (heading to Man Utd?)?

Rafindha – Seen him playing once in the Champions League. Looks like a decent player. Sign him and the fans has more reason to sing about Rafa.

Philip Degen - No I idea who he is. Seems like done deal too.

DIC – Probably the most important transfer of them all. Come rescue us DIC, and kick those yanks back to the States.

As Entertaining as the football itself, it still requires a couple of rare elements to spice up its already magnificent ingredients to create a great match that will be in the history book, that will be talked among fans for many years to come, that will soar up the traffic of a humble blog of myself 100 times just because the tags of “Arsenal” “Liverpool” and “Champions League” despite my articles with those tags weren’t even about the match itself. Amazing.

First and foremost, the intensity of the match. Arsenal and Liverpool, two premier league heavy heights, facing each other not once, not twice but three times in a row within a week. Press has been talking about it. Fans has been waiting for it and finally, the curtain of the final episode raised on Tuesday night, 8^th of April, 2008.

Then the unexpected drama. Liverpool were the favourite to win the tie after a 1 – 1 draw at the Emirates a week ago with the crucial away goal, which Arsenal got it with ease after just 15 minutes. People would be expecting a tired Arsenal team that will be ripped apart by a Liverpool team with 50000 Kops cheering behind them. But the result didn’t turn up that way. Up steps Sami Hyppia, the Liverpool veteran who celebrates his new contract with pin point header. Anfield exploded as expected, so am I, on the other side of the world.

Greats goal, of course, it’s a must for a match to qualify as a classic. Liverpool picked up the tempo the left behind before the break but failed to create any good scoring opportunity until Torres found himself half a yard of space in the 6 yard box after a fantastic first touch. One turn, one shot, one goal. Fans went frenzy. El Nino did it again, surely, this time. Liverpool can go on to win the match. I thought so too, my celebration inevitably woke my housemate up, she was annoyed at first. But soon she realizes, it was a good thing for me to do as more drama is about to be unfold.

Theo Walcott, who’s performance somehow failed to live up with his reputation is about to show the world just what he is capable of doing. Picked up a miscued volley of Gerrard from his own penalty box, he ran past Gerrard, skipped past Alonso, muscled his way away from Macherano, danced past Aurelio, drift away from Hyppia to created space for his teammate in the penalty box. By the time he reach there, there away more than 2 Arsenal player left unmarked in the box screaming for the ball. And so he did, and so does the goal. I slammed the arm rest of the couch, looking at Adebayor’s celebration and the face of Benitez felt like we have already lost. Arsenal is gonna go through with the away goal rule. I started swearing, but before I could even finish expressing my frustration, a penalty has been given at other end. Damn it, this match is testing my heart’s rate.

Up stepped Stevie G, I was blinding my eyes with both hands while still peeping through the crack between fingers. He wasn’t up to his standard today, probably due to the tactical requirement. Finger crossed, holding my breath, he looked up, he ran towards the ball, top right corner, he scored. Liverpool fans rise back to heaven and Arsenal drop back to hell in less than a minute. Arsenal pressed on, each time they bang forward looked likely to end up with something. I was pulling my hair, biting my nails, seating on the edge of my seat. Please oh please, make the game end now. I just couldn’t take it anymore. But it didn’t, while all of the Arsenal players pushing for a goal, Babel received a clearance ball from the Liverpool defence and ran all the way down to score the last goal of the match. We did it. Finally.

So there you go. The tensions, the dramas, the great goals, the penalty, the debatable penalty, the twist and turn of the outcome, the up and down of our emotion, the two English teams, the quarter final of the Champions League, the classic. Arsenal fans will feel hard done by and they have every reason to feel so. But in a night like this, it’s about making a bow to the most beautiful game of the world. Simply magnificent!
